What are digital dollars and euros?
Your Arch balance is held in USDC and EURC — stablecoins issued by Circle that are backed 1:1 by US dollars and euros. A digital dollar is always worth a dollar, so your balance doesn’t swing around like other crypto.
Does Arch hold my money?
No. When you sign up, Arch creates a self-custodial wallet that belongs to you. Your balance lives on-chain in that wallet, and only you can move it — we never hold, lend or touch your funds.
What is Arc?
Arc is a blockchain network built by Circle and designed for stablecoin payments: transfers confirm in seconds and cost a fraction of a cent. Arch currently runs on the Arc testnet.
How do savings vaults work?
Pick a goal — an emergency fund, a vacation, a new home — set a target amount and an unlock date, and lock money in. The lock is enforced by a smart contract on Arc. You can top up any time and withdraw once the unlock date arrives.
Can I withdraw from a vault early?
No — and that’s the point. The time-lock is enforced on-chain until the date you chose, so your future self is protected from your impulsive self. Money outside vaults is always available instantly.
What does swapping cost?
Swaps between USDC and EURC run on Arc StableSwap at a 0.04% fee, with slippage protection built in. You see the live rate, the fee and the minimum you’ll receive before you confirm.
How do cash links work?
Create a link for an amount and share it anywhere — chat, email, anything. The recipient taps it and claims the money into their own Arch wallet. Until it’s claimed, the funds sit in escrow and you can take them back.
What does Arch cost?
Nothing. There are no subscriptions, transfer fees or minimums — the only cost is the 0.04% fee when you swap between currencies.
